About MoverDash
MoverDash helps people in Canada find a mover they can trust and know what a fair price looks like — before anyone has their phone number.
Why we built it
Moving in Canada is harder to get right than it should be. In Ontario, for example, there is no licence for movers, and the Competition Bureau and police have warned about movers who give a low quote, load your things, and then demand much more before they will deliver. Meanwhile, many “get quotes” sites send your number to several movers at once, and you spend the next week answering calls.
We think the fix is simple: show people the real numbers, check the movers properly, and let the customer decide who may contact them.
What we have done so far
- 1,194 Canadian moving companies checked one by one on their own websites
- 15 of Canada’s largest moving markets, every published hourly rate re-read and audited by hand, with the date we read it
- 177 city pages, each showing the movers based there and nearby
- Last full check: 8 Oct 2026 — every change is in our data log
What we are not (yet)
We are new. We do not have customer reviews yet, and we will not show any until they come from real moves booked through MoverDash. We do not check movers’ insurance, so always ask your mover for proof of insurance before you book. When something changes, it goes in the data log.
Our rules
- Movers cannot pay to rank higher. Listing is free. Movers with a logo come first, then the rest — each group in a random order that changes every day.
- Your details, your choice. You decide whether movers can call you; if you say no, your number stays private and they reach you in the chat. We never sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
- We don’t invent numbers. Every figure on MoverDash has a source and a date, or it isn’t shown.
